Our Breakfast Club takes place each morning in our Infant Hall from 7:45am - 8.30am.
Children who attend can choose to eat cereal along with toast with jam, honey or marmite, fruit and a drink of water.
Attendance at Breakfast Club is £3.00 per day, and parents should contact our school office to check on availability and book a place for their child.
You may bring your child to school between 8.30am and 8.45am.
The school day ends at 3.00pm.
Our school is officially open from 8:30am when our 'soft start' begins – this allows children time to regulate and be ready for formal learning to begin after registration, which is taken at 8.45am.
During 'soft start', children may complete activities such as daily reading, or other activities to support good learning behaviours. These are designed to enable all children to have a positive start to the day.
After-school clubs are an essential part of our wider curriculum offer for the children who attend Amherst Primary School. All of our clubs usually run from 3.00–4.00pm, unless stated otherwise.
The clubs we provide give children the opportunity to have experiences that may not otherwise be available during the school day.
Clubs normally run for six weeks (half a term) at a time, and parents can often book places at these clubs using our Parent Booking platform.
In regard to term dates, all schools in Guernsey follow the same calendar. These dates can be found on the following web page:
