Communications Policy

Everyone at Amherst Primary School works to ensure we provide a caring, nurturing, special place where children can grow, learn, and flourish. Staff in school are dedicated and committed to ensuring children are always positively encouraged, challenged, and supported to be the best they can be! All those that work within our school want to nurture and develop the values, knowledge, skills and understanding our children need to flourish and make a positive difference to our local community and beyond.

We believe that staff, parents, carers and children are entitled to work and learn in an environment which is safe and protective. So, any behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress to users of our school site is contrary to the aims of our school. We expect all members of our community to demonstrate our core values at all times.

To this end, our communications policy outlines what we believe to be acceptable and positive as modes of behaviour by everyone within our local community – teachers, staff, parents and children alike – as well as what we believe is not acceptable.
