Amherst Primary School

Welcome to our Amherst Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Once you become a parent at Amherst Primary School, you are automatically a member of our PTA and, as such, members of our committee will reach out for your help and support with events and activities they will be organising over the course of the year – so please help in any way you can – as this directly benefits all children who come to our school! 

The committee is elected through due process, and they meet regularly to discuss and organise events to raise money for our school to make a difference for all our Amherst children.

Events which have been recent successes, to name a few, include:

• School Discos
• Chocolate Bingo Evenings
• Summer Fair

These events have helped to provide enough funds to provide a range of things for the benefit of the children.

For example:

• Climbing equipment on our respective playgrounds
• Equipment for the children to play with at breaks and lunchtimes
• Bucket style 'sun hats' for every child in school
